If you want to bring in blog posts from another website, the Blog Importer tool makes it easy with just three steps. Here's how:
Step 1: Set Up the Import
Go to Sites > Blog and select the blog you want to import to.
Click on New Post > Import Blog Post.
Enter the blog URL and the URL of the most recent post.
Choose where you’re importing from.
Once set up, you can check the "Scan in Progress" status in the "Imported Content" section.
Step 2: Map Your Content
Select the title, published date, author, content, and category of the blog post.
If something isn’t mapping correctly, you can manually select the CSS selector (check CSS Selectors for help).
Step 3: Import the Content
After the scraping process (which can take 10-20 minutes for 1,000 posts), you can import each post individually or in bulk. All posts will be saved as drafts first.
Before You Start:
Ensure the blog has a sitemap available (e.g., blog.abc.com/sitemap.xml).
Preview your posts before publishing them live.
With these simple steps, you can easily import blog posts to your website!
