Service Calendar and POS Integration for Mobile Payments

Modified on Wed, Sep 11 at 1:22 PM

We’re excited to share that you can now seamlessly collect payments directly from your service appointments using our POS integration with service calendars. This update allows you to view amounts, invoices, and record payments all within the mobile app.

What’s New?

1. View Amount in Calendar Events:

  • Go to the Appointments section in the Media Shield mobile app.
  • Tap on the event card for a service appointment to see the amount due for that service.

2. View Invoice:

  • Inside the event card, you can view the invoice associated with the service.
  • You can also edit the invoice to add any additional costs or time extensions.

3. Record Payment:

  • Record payments directly from the appointment event using Tap to Pay, Card, Cash, or Manual Entry.

How It Works

1. Setup in Media Shield Web:

  • Go to the Calendars section in Media Shield Web.
  • Enable the "Accept Payments" toggle under the Forms and Payments section of your service calendar.

  • Make sure to set the Payment mode to "Live."

2. Using the Mobile App:

  • After setting up in Media Shield Web, open the Media Shield mobile app with the correct subaccount selected.
  • Go to the Calendars section and tap on the event.

  • You will see the amount due along with two options: View Invoice and Record Payment.

  • Tap View Invoice to see or edit the invoice.

  • Tap Record Payment to choose your payment method and complete the transaction.

Why This Matters

This update integrates the calendar and POS features, making payment collection easier and more efficient for service appointments.
