Media Shield is rolling out exciting updates to enhance your community experience. Here's a simple guide to using the new Themes feature and toggling promotional links.


New Themes: Personalize Your Group

The Themes feature lets you customize the appearance of your group and switch between Light and Dark Modes for a better user experience.


Features:

1. Customizable Themes for Admins/Owners:

  • Change the sidebar, buttons, surface elements, links, fonts, and backgrounds.
  • Use predefined themes or create your own.

2. Light & Dark Mode for All Users:

  • Light Mode: Ideal for bright environments.
  • Dark Mode: Perfect for low-light conditions, reducing eye strain and saving mobile battery life.

How to Enable Themes:

1. For Admins/Owners:

  1. Go to Labs > Communities Themes to enable the feature.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Custom Themes to personalize your group.
  3. Toggle between Light and Dark Mode in the settings.

2. For Members:

  • Any changes made by admins will apply automatically, but members can switch between Light and Dark Mode.


Toggle Promotional Links: Public or Private

Admins can now control the visibility of promotional links.


Options:

  • Public Links: Visible to everyone, even non-members.

  • Private Links: Only visible to group members.


How to Use This Feature:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Links.

  2. Toggle the visibility to Public or Private.

  3. Save your changes to update link settings.
