How to Use the Community Chat Feature

The Community Chat feature in Media Shield helps you stay connected with your group members and enjoy a seamless chatting experience. Here’s how you can use it effectively:


New Features

1. Private Messaging

  • Chat one-on-one with any member of your community, whether you're an admin or a regular user.

2. Share Media & More

  • Exchange photos, files, GIFs, and emojis to add fun to your conversations.

3. Push Notifications

  • Enable push notifications in your app settings to get real-time message alerts with sound.


Privacy & Control

1. Disable Chats for Groups

  • Don’t want to join certain group chats?
  • Go to Profile > Account Settings > Community Chat and turn off chat for specific groups.

2. Block Users

  • If someone is spamming your inbox, block them to keep your messages spam-free.


Important Notes

  • You can only start a private chat after joining a group. Ensure you’re a group member to use the chat feature.
