How to Use Private File Uploads in Media Storage

Modified on Sun, Jan 19 at 5:25 AM

Media Shield now supports private file uploads for securely storing sensitive data alongside public files. Here's a simple guide to help you understand and use this feature effectively.

What’s New?

1. Private Files

  • Secure Storage: Upload sensitive files as private to ensure their security.
  • Visual Identification: Private files are marked with a lock icon.
  • Access Options:
  • Download: Save the file to your device.
  • Copy Private Link: Generate a secure link valid for 10 minutes for temporary access.
  • Delete Option: Easily remove private files or folders as needed.

2. Media Storage Modes

Depending on the feature or app accessing the media storage, you can view files in three ways:

  • All: Shows both public and private files.
  • Public: Displays only public files.
  • Private: Restricts view to private files with options to download or copy a link.

3. Feature Dependency

Private file uploads are currently tied to features requiring them, such as digital payments. This means you must access Media Storage via such a feature to use private files.

Enjoy secure file management with Media Shield's Media Storage. Keep sensitive data safe and accessible with ease!
